Change the Story

When we look back at what lead us to this place, there may be regrets, blame, thoughts that other people could have treated you better.

The part we continue to overlook is how all these things needed to happen for you to be where you are today.

These are your memories & the easiest way to move on is to change the story by changing which parts you focus on.

Let’s start by focusing on what you got out of the situation whether it was a willingness to fight more
for something important next time, a broader viewpoint, or even a greater understanding of what you love.

Take the time now to go through any stories that stand out & find the benefits in it happening exactly the way it did.

The other simple change is to rewrite the story, completely. Add an element of fun, or joy to a challenging memory. It can be as simple as adding some hot pink balloons somewhere in your memory that distracted you from what you no longer benefit from reliving.

Visualise a new & improved story, that focuses on the good, the lessons & minimises the pain.
